Family Mediation

Mediation is often the most effective way to deal with many conflicts that arise in families.  When preserving relationships is desirable if not vital, mediation is a constructive way to resolve issues by facilitating communication among family members.

Examples of problems that can be mediated:

  • Parents feeling as though they’ve lost control over their teenager…teenagers believing that parents are unreasonable.
  • Issues related to rules within the home, guidelines on curfews and school attendance, or responsibilities expected of adolescent family members.
  • Adult siblings making difficult decisions regarding care of their elderly parents.
  • Division of personal property among family members when a will is vague.

The LTM Group may be helpful in a variety of family issues such as:

  • Parent-child difficulties
  • Elder care
  • Intergenerational issues
  • Probate matters
  • Adult children returning to the family home
  • Financial arrangements/conservatorships
